He talks about the fascist attacks and why a general strike is necessary as well as the fight for a workers party against the Democrats. Great point, I’d say that everybody will figure it out quick, like huge communities do when there’s a disaster. Nobody is telling anyone to check on their neighbor or load up some trucks with supplies and get them to some certain location to distribute, etc., that stuff just happens.

Also I’d point to Brandon Johnson’s brief but historically relevant remarks in his speech. He was referencing the “general strike” (as W.E.B. DuBois put it) of slaves in the south during the civil war, where they took advantage of the situation and refused to work, and went north, joining the Union Army, forcing Lincoln to take the abolition of slavery on in addition to the original thrust of the war, which was the preservation of the Union. That’s my understanding, I’m not a scholar.
