You give Paff more credit than he deserves, if he took the seat from O’Brien, which he did , why wouldn’t he have taken one from Hoffa? As bad as Hoffa was at least he never threatened members and he did come out against Trump.

I have been to several conventions and I’ve seen some incredibly bad behaviors overwhelming carried out by teamsters wearing red vests. From walking out on members speaking to outright threats. I must say the worst example of this behavior that I personally witnessed was by Sean O’Brien. His record stands for itself, charges against him for threats against Taibi and standing n front of Sandy Pope screaming F U repeatedly as she accepted her nomination. Standing on top of and screaming in the ear of a candidate on Gregare’s slate “ you suck, you suck, you suck” , no wonder Hoffa suspended him for continuing to threaten members. O’Brien sure was a tough guy when the red vests outnumbered opponents 25 to 1.
I would have to agree with Boston9 Hoffa was not good but he was never guilty of threatening members.
