This Wednesday, July 30th, will mark the 50th anniversary of the disappearance of James R Hoffa. Hoffa is arguably the greatest Labor leader of all time!
Throughout the past 50 years, the Hoffa family has had to deal with the hundreds of different stories, theories, movies, books and lies surrounding Hoffa’s disappearance and still don’t know what happened to their dad, grandfather, and grandfather.
After 50 years, it is time that the FBI finally release the Hoffa files and help bring closure to this mystery!

Can someone please explain to the reverence given to this man who brought the mob into our union? Our pension funds used to build Las Vegas. I guess that’s why we hold our conventions there, no?

At the 1981 Teamsters Convention in Las Vegas, one of the opening speakers was the Mayor of Las Vegas. He stated from the podium: "We're always glad to see the Teamsters in town to visit their money." That may not be the verbatim quote, but based on my memory and hearing it from the visitors' balcony, that's a very close paraphrase.
