    Rookie mistake for sure.

Anyone, or any slate, out there that is planning on running against OZ...if you are waiting so as to "surprise" you are making a common rookie mistake. Any benefit from "sneaking up" on them is greatly outweighed by the time that you lost to gain name recognition and that you lost to organize around your announcement. Insurgents need to begin early and loudly. Very discouraging. Rookie mistake. Cripes.

Bob you are 100% correct! I have never seen a surprise slate have any success.

Kinda sad to think that there are so few men or women in this Union with a vision for a better, more inclusive and dynamic Int'l. Smart, experienced Teamster poilcians exist in all regions. In the past, the feds pushed for their "alternative candidate", no matter what. I guess with OZ, TooDUmb, the Feds, UFC, trumpy, faux DOL, and dopey DOT, it's all lined up for Teamsters this year!
Kinda like the national stage --- say goodbye to Democracy folks!
