This union does not belong to O'Brien.

SOB's recent attack against the most pro worker, pro union members of congress, as well as the Senate, has pushed me over the top. Other than wearing a pinky ring and carrying a 'Saturday Night Special' in your boot I can't think of a more disgusting thing for a General President to do. Let me begin by saying that I still believe that TDU acts and performs with good intent. That said, they are admittedly in a "coalition" with O'Brien and his administration. I honestly believe that over the decades, for good reason, the organization has not taken a position with respect to politics. I get it. HOWEVER, THIS IS DIFFERENT since there is an admitted "coalition". Being "aligned", to me means one of two things. Either you agree with the politics of the GP or you are unwilling to do the "right thing" by remaining silent. The "coalition" helps me to justify that mindset. Some GEB members over the decades began with good intentions. They have fallen captive to the General President because they were concerned with losing their established positions. There are some right now that fall into that category. (I'll leave it at that for now.)

Now, O'Brien has clearly and openly become an extension of a viciously anti-union establishment. His arrogance will not even allow him to try to veil it. It seems as if his arrogance is asking for someone to even challenge him. I can't help but believe that there are many TDU rank and file members that are genuinely pissed off at SOB for his anti-union politics. I have always known TDU as being a democratic organization. Those rank-and-file members that are just as pissed off as I am really must speak out. This union does not belong to O'Brien. This union belongs to the members!

Those pissed off TDU members should vote out the steering committee that sits silent. They should change the leadership if they do not agree with the direction being taken. As you said O’Brien dosent own the union and Paff dosent own TDU.

Time for the rank and filers at TDU to dictate their position to the steering committee, Levin, and Paff. It's your organization!

Who is there on that steering committee that has the strength to stand up and say what so many TDU members see and feel is wrong with the teamster leadership siding with Trumps anti labor actions?
