Open letter to teamsters: Hold teamsters mobilize accountable

To My Fellow Teamsters,

I am writing to publicly address the deliberate campaign of disinformation and defamation carried out by members of the Teamsters Mobilize Steering Committee—a group that has chosen to focus more on attacking me than on fighting for Teamsters' working conditions. This group, which claims to stand for union democracy and worker empowerment, has failed to take a stand on any major issue affecting UPS Teamsters—whether it be mass layoffs, automation, Amazon volume reduction, or the dangerous implications of “Network of the Future.” Instead, they have directed their time and energy into spreading false, misleading, and malicious claims against a fellow Teamster in an attempt to destroy my credibility and livelihood.

Their public statement about me, filled with falsehoods and distortions, is not just a personal attack—it is a direct violation of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Constitution. Under our Constitution, no member shall knowingly harm another member, yet these individuals have weaponized their platform to do exactly that. Even worse, many of them hide behind anonymity, avoiding any personal accountability for their actions.

Who holds them accountable? Who elected them? Who even knows who they are?

I have filed formal charges under the IBT Constitution and various Local By-Laws against specific members of the Teamsters Mobilize Steering Committee, including:

• Jess Lister (Local 728) – Union Steward
• Jennifer Han**** (Local 322) – Political Coordinator
• Jose Francisco Negrete (Local 952) – Active Member

These individuals have used their positions to intimidate, defame, and actively harm another Teamster. In the case of Jose Francisco Negrete, he has openly acknowledged that despite knowing I am facing job loss, he and his colleagues voted to continue publishing and distributing defamatory material—material that relies on discredited sources, anonymous accusations, and outright fabrications.

I will not stand by and allow cowards and bullies to dictate who gets to participate in union democracy. I have always stood up for what I believe in, whether that meant fighting for workplace safety, holding IBT leadership accountable, or speaking the truth when it is unpopular. Unlike Teamsters Mobilize, I have not spent my time engaging in personal vendettas and internet gossip—I have actually fought for better working conditions at UPS.

If Local 728, Local 322, and Local 952 fail to take action, I will pursue civil remedies to ensure accountability. No Teamster should be subject to this kind of harassment and targeted disinformation campaign by fellow members—especially by those who claim to stand for union democracy.

I invite all Teamsters to read the attached formal charges and demand transparency, accountability, and an end to cowardly attacks from anonymous figures who refuse to focus on the real fights facing our union.

Teamsters Mobilize chose to put out a public smear campaign against me instead of organizing around actual issues affecting UPS Teamsters. That’s the problem. You claim to be about union reform, yet your Steering Committee spent more time attacking a fellow member than challenging UPS on layoffs, automation, or working conditions.

This entire debacle was started by TM’s leadership, and it serves no purpose other than division. If you want to be taken seriously as organizers, focus on the boss, not personal vendettas.
