Okay then do something about the felon steward. Bring it up at a membership meeting. This Tony C is not a trustworthy person. It is great that he is dominating the sort isle but he is a scammer and a fraud. Just look at the facts. You steal one time you are a thief.

No one wants to call out the convicted felon union steward because he’s a good man. He made mistakes. The fact is that attacking Cochran and lying about him is hypocritical. Cochran and the appointed steward are both good people who have made mistakes. One is appointed by Davison-Vedus and one is dissenting. The treatment of the two shows hypocrisy. Judge people on what they have become, not the mistakes of the past.

Also Brother Cochran isn’t “dominating” anything. He’s fighting for safety and against management doing bargaining unit work. These attacks are baseless.

What in the interview do you disagree with brother? Please describe the issues, not this malice.

? I don’t know what this means. I’ve got things to do like helping my family. Got to go. We may disagree but if you’re a Teamster you’re still my brother. Just saying you don’t work with the man, I do. Don’t spew ignorance and misinformation and nonsense.

Militant Teamster. I don’t know what your post means but it sounds like you lost the argument and are giving up.

I met Tony loading trailers one night about year ago. He was friendly and we had a good talk. I saw him at the gates during the contract campaign. His arguments made sense, and I agree that we didn't get the best contract "ever". As someone with 7 years seniority, the 50 cents "extra" for my years at UPS was an insult. Ultimately, I voted Yes on this thing because I didn't want to go on strike. I found out about Tony's past conviction for fraud in the UK and asked him about it. He was very direct and told me what happened. He also said some things about his time inside a UK prison, the types of people he had to deal with and why he wrote the book coming out for prison abolition. I don't agree with every word he says - I don't understand some of his more academic work. I have a high school education but I am not stupid. I have talked with him on the phone about this stuff on the internet that he is a "pedophile supporter" and he explained his position something like "we can't change these people's feelings but we can stop them from acting on them". Yes, f*** them but how do we stop them. So he wrote that book about prison abolition - which I think is a bit of fantasy because human nature is what it is and jails are likely always going to be needed - which included his experience with these creeps in prison and based his stuff on research by these neuroscientists and psychiatrists. I looked at it and it grossed me out, but that is what the scientists are saying: we can't change these people but we can make sure they don't harm kids. That's Tony position. How is that controversial?

As for our building lmao lmao we actually have TWO freaking stewards with felony convictions both of them appointed by our BA, Ben Vedus. I don't have a problem with Ben but if they want to talk trash about Tony then those who live in glass houses shouldn't be throwing freaking stones. So, what's the real issue here????? The fact that he called out our president's three salaries? The fact that we are basically letting Trump and the weirdos on the far-right slim their way into our union? The fact that he has AUDIO of this dude talking about trans people and saying crazy racist shit? Pardon my language but really, you guys need to get your shit together. Tony isn't the problem here, but I guess that doesn't matter. It's one standard for the a** kissers and one standard for those who stick out.

        That's my two cents!

I think one is a serious misdemeanor as first time DUII. The other is a felony conviction. Brother Cochran has neither under US law and that UK case was weird.

All of this to say that this type of nonsense is divisive and we need to focus on the substance: the multiple salaries, the lack or representation, the racism, the OZ Trumpfest. Don’t let them use smoke and mirrors to distract us. Solidarity!

Slandering Cochrane has nothing to do with his factual charge. It's how the old guard has always operated. So as Sean has surpassed the dickstepper in stepping on his own dick with golf cleats. The IBT trolls are out in force. 25 Medford, Mr Teamster, Camilofundioinfuego all show up to attack Tony. As your hero Zuck the Suck says you are all cowards. The heat is on because you are a bunch of incompitents.

Multiple salaries is a serious issue that TDU once fought,

”It would be correct to imply that TDU was founded to fight nepotism, gangsterism, thuggery, bullying, sexism, homophobia, racism, contract give-backs, bloated salaries, the collection of multiple salaries and pensions, and every other negative element that has reigned in the halls of the most bureaucratized and corrupt union in North America. This fight was abandoned when they endorsed a byproduct of all these inadequacies in Sean O’Brien.

Any objection of TDU ceasing to be a reform organization was put to rest at their last convention held the weekend of October 1-3 when former national organizer Ken Paff made the motion to remove TDU’s Bill of Rights from their original constitution. It is believed that the motion was made at the request of O’Brien himself. But why? Perhaps Article VIII may be the reason:
Just Salaries for Officers. A union officer can’t understand the problems of members who make less than half what he makes. No officer should make more than the highest paid working members in his jurisdiction. No multiple salaries from union, company or government sources, or special fringes and pensions. Salary increases limited to the average increase for membership, and subject to membership approval

The question is what did O’Brien offer Paff and new national organizer David Levine to commit such treachery?

Tony and I work together daily. He's always standing up to sups, making sure that we aren't being bullied by sups, turning off the belt for safety, watching out for everyone. He's helped me file a grievance. He's taught me about the contract. He's really helped me. I am pretty new to UPS, so I was reluctant to post but this stuff really outraged me. Tony is a good person and yes he maybe made mistakes in 2014 and that's something he had to pay for with his freedom. I guess that some people on here just don't care that he left prison, wrote a book, and has struggled with the fact that people discriminate against guys who've been in prison. I have not read his book. A friend at work did tell me she read a few pages in it about Tony getting prisoners to demand the minimum wage. That sounds like Tony! Peace and love!

O’Brien made over $420,000 and Zuckerman made over $460,000 in 2022, but you all want to talk about how bad Tony Cochran is for a fraud of $1800 from 2014? One that he paid for with prison time? If standing up to management in a poverty wage job, making OR-OSHA complaints and fighting against union corruption is some “con job” then what exactly is he getting out of it? A whole lot less than the O’Brien and Zuckerman! The money is clouding their judgement and we need reform now to stop these huge salaries!

So this is Teamsterlink’s new champion? A guy who steals PIN numbers and makes up false claims of sexual assault and fake charities claiming to help Africa? ? Looks like he has recruited a new group of suckers at UPS. Better hide those passwords! By the way, I’ve got a bridge to sell if any of you are interested. ?

Tony Cochran, 29, of Handel Street, Camden, was sentenced for fraud, theft and blackmail at St Alban’s Crown Court on Friday.

The American national was found guilty of manipulating a vulnerable woman and moving into her house to carry out “radical existential psychoanalysis”.

He then stole her credit card and attempted to withdraw £1,490 in two minutes at a cash point.

Cochran broke her trust and stole her credit card and PIN before leaving her Hertfordshire home on March 1, 2015, the court heard.

When the victim went to police he tried to blackmail her and concocted a story accusing the woman of sexually assaulting him, the jury heard.

She was put through the ordeal of cross-examination about lurid allegations that he had found her masturbating in the hallway of her home next to a dead fish.

But Judge Plumstead told the jury after the guilty verdicts: “This is plainly a man who got a moderate education.

Rogues College in small town Oregon seems to have given him notions of his own capacities that are delusional.

“He’s talked himself into thinking that by reading Jean Paul Sartre and Heidegger he can form a basis to give therapy. That’s delusional.”

The victim said after Cochran’s conviction that she was “relieved that justice has been served” and she hoped he would “never be able to commit crime again”.

The Ham&High revealed after the trial that Cochran had raised thousands of dollars through the crowdfunding website IndieGoGo.

The pages took donations in the name of Africa Help – Liberia, Help Africa – Liberia, and Medical and Housing Costs – Liberia, but the Ham&High could find no such charities.

Ham&High the gold standard of journalism! Of course, what you fail to mention is that this is a tabloid and the only reason they even published anything about Tony was because he has a husband with a very famous dad…

Cochran’s civil partner, the artist Alex Verney-Elliott, also started a ‘Political Dissident Campaign Fund for Tony Robert Cochran’ on IndieGoGo.

Mr Verney-Elliott, son of the late film director Ken Russell - whose movie hits include Women In Love staring former Hampstead MP and Oscar winner Glenda Jackson, confirmed he set up the page when contacted by the Ham&High.

Now brother, let me ask you: what does this tabloid report got to do—what exactly is the substance
brother Cochran’s actual charges and criticisms in the video here that you can point to with firm objections? Why did TDU drop the article on ending multiple salaries? Why did an OZ Trumpfest happen? Why did the GEB authorize $45,000 to a hate group (RNC) that is viciously attacking minorities? Why are you avoiding the SUBSTANCE? I’m a long-time Teamster and I smell BS here—not from Tony who I work with but from you. Where do you work? The IBT? One of O’Brien’s buddies’ locals? Be careful with that if so you’re gonna get a ULP for your boss. NLRA. Goodnight brother. Remove the hate from your heart, we’ve got an appointed steward who is a convicted felon who was into grand theft auto and ran a carjacking scheme, and another who has a DUI (maybe two?). Both appointed by the Local and given second chances. Your dredging up a fraud case that took place in 2014 and went to trial in 2016 shows you all are DESPERATE.

Anyways, unlike you I actually move boxes (full time!) and I’ve got a family, so I’m off of here because—unlike you—I ain’t getting paid to be here.
