    OZ Trumpfest and LGBTQ workers

The attacks on the lgbtq community under Trump. O’Brien must have been briefed on this?

“Rolled back Obama-era non-discrimination protections: Trump’s Department of Justice upended previous DOJ interpretations of the Civil Rights Act that protect transgender and non-binary workers from employment discrimination and ceased enforcing non-discrimination protections as well as taking a hostile stance to LGBTQ workers in court.”
HRC lists Trump's persistent attacks against the LGBTQ community after the RNC claims he's taken "unprecedented steps" in support of the community.

”Trump’s Department of Labor issued a regulation designed to allow federal contractors to claim a religious exemption to fire LGBTQ workers because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.“

Didn’t Biden try to carve out a religious exemption for Obamacare until Valerie Jarrett stepped in and vetoed him? Anyone remember Biden’s support of the racist Crime bill? Don’t forget that Dick Cheney and Laura Bush were pro-gay marriage before Obama. Obama believed marriage was between a man and a woman and he employed deeply homophobic surrogates in the black community when running for President. But I guess that doesn’t fit your narrative.

In this election, in this moment, on the issues of LGBTQ protections, the position between the two presidential candidates is clear.

Cheney was for “states rights” because of his daughter. Bush Jr tried and failed to pass a national law enshrining marriage as between a man and a woman. The Republican Party has consistently weaponized its base to pass policy that demonize trans people.

Trump’s DoD banned trans service personnel, and instituted a “Deploy or Get Out” policy, which would remove military personnel living with HIV from service solely because of their status.

Despite the fact that LGBTQ people are significantly more likely to experience homelessness in their lives, HUD Secretary Ben Carson has proposed a rule to permit emergency shelters to deny access or otherwise discriminate against transgender and gender nonconforming peoplewho are homeless. HUD also canceled a scheduled survey on LGBTQ homelessness.
