JUST PRACTICING TO PROTECT OUR JOBS
About 100 Anheuser-Busch Teamsters with Local 633 in New Hampshire spent today practice picketing at the Merrimack, New Hampshire, brewery for a fair new contract that includes strong job protections and respectable wages.
Rank-and-file members were joined by Teamsters Brewery, Bakery, and Soft Drink Director Jeff Padellaro, who is leading national negotiations on behalf of 5,000 Anheuser-Busch Teamsters across the U.S. Workers participating in practice picketing in New Hampshire were joined by Joyce Craig, the Mayor of Manchester, New Hampshire.
“These hardworking men and women have better things to be doing with their time than battling a greedy corporation during the holidays, but if Anheuser-Busch wants a fight, we will give it to them,” Padellaro said. “All our members are asking of this multi-billion dollar corporation is the dignity of knowing their jobs are safe — and the stability of good wages.”
