The Teamsters Food Processing Division and Organizing Department hosted a workshop last week in Nashville, providing members with the tools they need to organize and strategize across the food processing industry. The training tackled how to identify viable targets for organizing, how to make contact during house calls, best practices for one-on-one message development, and other key issues.
Teamsters in food processing work tirelessly to provide communities with the food we put on our tables. Our members deserve to be rewarded for their difficult labor. Organizing this vital sector of the American economy is paramount.
“Our members in the food processing industry understand the importance of collective bargaining and growing the Teamsters Union,” said Peter Finn, Teamsters Western Region International Vice President and Food Processing Division Director. “Every Teamster is an organizer! The purpose of this workshop was to assist and train our hardworking members to become even better organizers.”
