A NEW LOW FOR YELLOW
Yellow's gross mismanagement and negligence has reached a new low. The company has failed to fulfill its financial obligations, resulting in a suspension of health care benefits and pension accruals for Teamsters at Holland and Yellow Freight.
The Central States Board of Trustees made the decision to take this step after Yellow missed a crucial payment of $50 million on July 15 to the Central States Health and Welfare Fund and the Central States Pension Fund. As a result, the company has until July 23 to make things right or face a strike.
Yellow is a deadbeat company. Freight workers deserve better. The concession stand is closed. Teamsters are done with the disrespect.
