    Boston city council backs striking encore workers

    BOSTON CITY COUNCIL BACKS STRIKING ENCORE WORKERS



    The Boston City Council has unanimously voted to support the 1,300 striking workers at Encore Boston Harbor, which includes 211 workers represented by Teamsters Local 25.



    The resolution states that councilors will not conduct any business with the resort and casino until a new contract is reached.



    Boston joins the Everett and Somerville city councils in supporting Encore workers in their ongoing fight for a fair agreement.
