BREAKING: Teamsters Local 2024 has reached a tentative agreement with Corewell Health East for a first union contract.



This contract comes after 10,000 nurses voted three-to-one to join the Teamsters in November 2024 and 13 months of collective bargaining.



Highlights of the three-year agreement include:

• A 15% wage increase over the three-year agreement

• Caps on the average out of pocket health care premiums

• A staffing committee that allows nurses from each campus to raise staffing issues to management directly and effect change

• Protections on benefits like PTO, bereavement, jury duty, and others so that CHE cannot unilaterally make changes to their policies without bargaining



In the coming weeks, all registered nurses will have an opportunity to vote on this historic tentative agreement.
