Fuel haulers at Jacobus Energy in Georgia have voted overwhelmingly to join Teamsters Local 728.



The 22 hazmat- and tanker-certified drivers who deliver fuel across the state are fighting for a strong first Teamsters contract with fair wages, enhanced benefits, and improved working conditions.



“We do essential work, and management takes us for granted,” said Eliejah Harper, a driver and proud new member of Local 728. “We deliver fuel in harsh conditions, and management continually adds stops, forcing us to skip our breaks just so we can get home to our families.”
