Continuing site visits across Detroit, Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman stopped by Costco’s distribution center in Romulus, Michigan. Joined by President of Local 243 Scott Quenneville, the union leaders met with Teamsters service clerks and assistants who handle online orders for the retail giant.



The Teamsters have launched a national organizing campaign at Costco to expand our existing density at the retailer. Active organizing campaigns are ongoing across the country, including in Michigan.



“Costco Teamsters set the standard for every single worker at this company, union and nonunion alike,” O’Brien said. “Every worker at Costco deserves the protection of a Teamsters contract. That is why we are committed to expanding our power, leverage, and density at this company.”
