UNMANNED IN DC? CAPITAL TEAMSTERS TELL WAYMO TO GET LOST.



At a DC city council hearing, Teamsters demanded lawmakers oppose Bill 26-0684, legislation that would allow Waymo and other fully driverless robotaxis to operate in the District of Columbia.



“Driverless cars would be a disaster for someone like me,” said Demani Petron-King, a member of Local 639. “This job is how I provide for my family, pay my bills, and have amazing health care. The well-being of people like me should not be the price our society pays for innovation.”
