Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien attended Local 830’s 50th Annual Scholarship Fund Awards Banquet in Philadelphia, PA. Alongside Local 830 Secretary-Treasurer Danny Grace, he spoke about the importance of remembering where we come from and showing up for one another. The Teamsters Local 830 Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial assistance to high school seniors whose parents are members of Local 830. To date, 437 high schoolers have been awarded significant college scholarships. That’s a major financial commitment of nearly $4.4 million invested into the future of our members' children.



"Every member in this room represents the generations of Teamsters who carried this union through difficult fights," said Teamsters General President Sean M. O'Brien. "Together we have made sure the next generation inherits something stronger. That’s what tonight is all about: We want to leave our union stronger than we found it."
