Teamsters at Brenntag in Des Moines, Iowa, are on strike as a result of the company’s unfair labor practices and failure to negotiate a fair contract.



The hazmat drivers and warehouse workers represented by Teamsters Local 90 were locked out for a month after rejecting a contract that failed to meet industry standards.



“Time and again, the company has refused to bargain in good faith. They delayed negotiations, offered a lowball contract, and ultimately locked us out when we didn’t accept it,” said Dillion Strait, a warehouse worker and Local 90 shop steward. “Their attempts to break our solidarity only strengthened our resolve. We will not stand for these unfair labor practices.”
