After an early morning visit with UPS Teamsters in San Diego, Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien met with rank-and-filers at Ace Parking and the rental car companies Avis, Budget, and Hertz. Alongside Erin Borgardt, Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 481, he spoke with members about the vital role they serve in the San Diego community, as well as ongoing worker-led efforts to improve standards throughout the industry.

“Companies like Hertz, Avis, Budget, and Ace are making more money than ever. And there’s one reason for it: Teamsters across the country are busting our necks to provide the best service possible,” O’Brien said. “This sector would come to a standstill if it weren’t for your sweat and sacrifice. We’re going to keep fighting to expand our density and raise the bar throughout the rental car and parking industries.”
