This morning, Teamsters General President Sean M. O'Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman met with members of Teamsters Local 639 at Fort Myer Construction in Washington, D.C. Teamsters there proudly build and maintain the infrastructure of DC, Maryland, and Virginia from bridges and highways to utilities and electrical.



Alongside Bill Davis, President of Local 639, O’Brien thanked members for their hard work and spoke about the vital role they play in the construction industry.



“Our members put their lives on the line every single day in the construction industry. These are tough, skilled jobs that build our communities and keep are nation running,” O’Brien said. “We must keep fighting for improved safety standards, stronger contracts, and the respect on the job that these workers deserve.”
