Teamsters Local 665 has been relentlessly defending San Francisco from the Big Tech companies who are trying to automate jobs all over the city. Local 665 successfully blocked Tesla from building a robotaxi charging station that would have undermined Teamsters jobs in the Bay Area earlier this week, a victory that came shortly after the union's work with the San Francisco Board of Supervisors to prevent the use of experimental drones for commercial delivery by DoorDash.



"Anytime Big Tech puts forward a proposal that undermines work for union members, the Teamsters will be there with a stop sign," said Tony Delorio, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 665. "Silicon Valley thinks the entire world should bow before it, but that's not going to happen. San Francisco is a union town, and we will not be bullied into accommodating anyone in management at the expense of our livelihoods."
