Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman addressed a packed house of rank-and-file members on Sunday at Teamsters Local 25’s membership meeting in Boston. Joined by Tom Mari, President of Local 25, they highlighted member-driven victories and priorities for 2026 and beyond.



“Local 25 set the tone for affiliates last year. Together, the Teamsters picked big fights — taking on some of the nastiest corporations in America, like Republic Services, and securing incredible contracts as a result,” O’Brien said. “In 2026, we are going to build on those wins by organizing even more members and locking in agreements that make life better for our brothers and sisters and their families. And we’ll do it with courage, conviction, and intestinal fortitude that can’t be matched.”
