Workers at Sysco in Spokane, Washington, have overwhelmingly voted to authorize a strike if the multibillion-dollar food service corporation fails to offer a fair contract. The group of delivery drivers, represented by Teamsters Local 690, are demanding a deal that matches the wages, benefits, and working conditions already secured by Teamsters at Sysco’s largest regional competitors.

The vote comes as hundreds of Sysco Teamsters in Montana and Illinois head toward contract expirations at the end of February. If Sysco refuses to bargain fair agreements, the company could face a coordinated strike across multiple states — putting significant pressure on its food distribution network.
