Sanitation workers at Republic Services around Youngstown, Ohio, represented by Teamsters Local 377 have voted to ratify three strong new contracts.



The 131 commercial, residential, and landfill workers will earn substantial raises over the length of their four-year Teamsters agreements. They will also see savings through their Teamsters health insurance and receive more money in their pension.



“This is a great contract for all of us here at Republic,” said Paul Perry, a 15-year Republic worker and member of Local 377. “Together, we addressed some of our biggest concerns — including strengthening our health care, our retirement, and our protections against invasive technology. And it has already been making a positive change.”
