Teamsters General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman helped celebrate hardworking Teamsters stewards in Georgia on Saturday night during the Teamsters Local 728 Stewards Seminar in Atlanta. Joined by Local 728 President Matt Higdon, Zuckerman praised the dedication of the stewards.



Teamsters Local 728 proudly represents over 12,000 workers in a wide variety of industries throughout the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. Local 728 members have won historic organizing campaigns with hundreds of workers joining recently at UNFI, while winning their strike for a strong contract at Republic Services.



“If we want to keep growing the Teamsters to be bigger, faster, and stronger, we need to provide the best representation possible to each and every one of our members," Zuckerman said. "That’s exactly what you do day after day. I want to personally thank you for all you do.”
