Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman were in Chicago on Friday night to speak at the 50th Anniversary Teamsters for a Democratic Union (TDU) Convention.



Every year, Teamsters from across the country gather for this event to take part in workshops, hear from guest speakers, and learn about key issues like contract enforcement and member engagement.



“I firmly believe that we’ve rediscovered the fighting rank-and-file energy that built the Teamsters in the first place. But we can’t let up. We can’t slow down. We’ve got to push harder — every contract, every picket line, every organizing drive,” O’Brien said. “We’ve got the power. We’ve got the plan. And we’ve got 1.3 million Teamsters who know exactly who they are and what they’re fighting for.”
