Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman joined Local 97’s Steward Seminar in Atlantic City, N.J., today. Standing beside Maria Perez, President of Local 97, they discussed recent member-driven achievements and how those fit into the wider priorities of the International Union.



“No matter the industry or the company, Teamsters stewards like you are making all the difference in serving and representing our 1.3 million members,” O’Brien said. “From UPS to Rutgers University and every employer in between, rank-and-file Teamsters are demanding and commanding respect in a way we haven’t seen in decades. And they couldn’t do it without our stewards.”
