Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien joined Local 500’s steward seminar this morning. Speaking with rank-and-file leaders in Philadelphia alongside Douglas Edwards, President of Local 500, they discussed the long-term priorities of the Teamsters Union and the role stewards will play in making them happen.



“Philadelphia wouldn’t run if it weren’t for the hard work of you and every other member of Local 500. You deliver for UPS. You drive for ACME. You sift and sort countless products for huge companies like Sysco,” O’Brien said. “If we want to keep growing the Teamsters to be bigger, faster, and stronger, we need to provide the best representation possible to each and every one of our members. That’s exactly what you do day after day.”
