Big win this week for members of Teamsters Local 284 at the Sutphen Corporation in Dublin, Ohio, as Region 9 of the NLRB hit the employer with a federal complaint for committing multiple violations of U.S. labor laws.



"The federal government's complaint against the Sutphen Corporation was entirely predictable and confirms what the Teamsters have been saying all along," said Local 284 President Mark Vandak. "Since Sutphen brought in union busters, the company has engaged in a relentless campaign of bad faith bargaining to deny these workers and their families a fair contract. The company cut its own wage proposals, withdrew job security protections, and made other bad faith proposals, such as eliminating current health care benefits and stripping employees of their existing rights, and refused to provide the union with information about scabs working on customer trucks during the strike."



The case is set for trial on January 9 unless Sutphen settles with the government. Sutphen Teamsters have been on strike since May 28, 2025, and are still fighting for a fair deal.
