Workers at RISE Dispensary in York, Pa., were forced to strike against Green Thumb Industries (GTI) after bad faith bargaining by the employer. Members of Local 776 unanimously rejected GTI’s last, best, and final offer, demanding fair wages, dignity, and respect on the job.



The strike is part of a broader fight in the cannabis industry, where corporations profit while frontline workers are left behind. Teamsters are standing up nationwide to make sure workers share the prosperity they create.



“This strike isn’t just about us — it’s about showing that even a handful of dedicated workers can push back against a giant corporation when they’re not being treated fairly,” said John Stambaugh, a Local 776 member at RISE Dispensary. “We’re fighting for a Teamsters contract that reflects our value and ensures we aren’t just disposable parts of their billion-dollar machine.”
