Teamsters from across North America recently gathered in Las Vegas for the 31st Annual Labor Assistance Professionals Conference.



The National Labor Assistance Professionals (LAP) is an organization of trade unionists dedicated to helping fellow members during times of personal crisis. The LAP’s mission is to ensure that all workers and their families have access to effective, high-quality chemical dependency and mental health treatment services.



For union members seeking support, the LAP offers Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) specifically tailored to individual needs.



“Teamsters across the country act as Employee Assistance Representatives, providing support and connecting members and their families with vital treatments for mental health and addiction issues,” said Thomas Vitiello, Teamsters Local 25 Employee Assistance Representative. “Being a Teamster is being in a family. We look out for and support each other in the worst of times. The LAP is living proof of how we, as Teamsters, can make a positive impact on each other’s lives.”
