Teamsters at the Republic Services landfill in Stockton, Calif., represented by Local 439 have launched a strike.



The $77 billion waste giant is refusing to offer these workers –– who operate a landfill critical to waste collections for thousands of residents around Stockton –– a fair contract.



Teamsters nationwide have authorized strikes at Republic Services facilities and could launch their own picket lines at any moment.
