United Airlines Teamsters concluded the final round of bargaining for this calendar year on Thursday as the current contract’s amendable date has passed. The national negotiating committee is now moving full steam ahead towards winning an industry-leading contract as quickly as possible for over 10,000 United Airlines technicians.

After reaching agreements on the majority of the contract’s noneconomic articles, United Airlines Teamsters are focused on fighting for strong economic proposals that will keep them at the top of the industry for pay, wage progression, work rules, and health care benefits.

“We work hard so that United flights can make on-time departures, but the company has no problem causing delays in our negotiations,” said Dexter Thomas, a Teamsters Local 19 technician out of George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston and member of the negotiating committee. “The committee is eager to get back to the negotiating table and continue fighting for the industry-leading pay and benefits we deserve for helping United reach record breaking profits.”

Negotiations will resume in January 2025. As bargaining shifts towards economics, United Airlines Teamsters will let the carrier know: UA, it’s time to pay!
