Drivers at Ryder Logistics in Naperville, Ill., have voted overwhelmingly to join Teamsters Local 673. The 37 drivers came together to form their union to win respect and a voice on the job. “We formed a union to win job security. With a Teamsters contract we will be protected,” said Ryder driver Brandon White.
Ryder ran a vicious anti-union campaign filled with lies and misinformation, but the workers endured, sticking together to win the respect and dignity they deserve.
“Congratulations to the Ryder workers for stepping up and forming a union,” said Tim Custer, Secretary Treasurer of Teamsters Local 673. “We welcome them to the Teamsters and look forward to fighting with them for a first contract.”
