TEAMSTERS VOTE OVERWHEMINGLY TO AUTHORIZE STRIKE AT ARINC

Teamsters at Raytheon-owned ARINC voted by a resounding 94% to authorize a strike, giving the union maximum leverage as negotiations continue under the National Mediation Board (NMB).

More than 100 aircraft communication specialists nationwide have been fighting for better wages and improved health care since 2019. These Teamsters are responsible for overseeing civilian and military air traffic control over international oceanic airspace. ARINC management has stalled progress at the NMB, refusing to agree to a fair contract and risking disruption to international air travel.

“ARINC Teamsters are done with RTX-Raytheon’s greed. This is one of the wealthiest corporations in the world. They can afford to provide fair pay and benefits to the workers who make sure global aviation runs safely,” said Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien.

ARINC Teamsters have given the company every chance to reach an agreement at the table. If the company’s executives fail to meet Teamsters demands, these workers are ready to take action to win the contract they deserve.
