Members of Teamsters Local 639 at RATP Dev who provide transportation services for TheBus in Price George’s County, Md., have ratified a new contract. The three-year Teamsters agreement includes pension increases, night differentials, improved shoe and tool allowances, and a nearly 20 percent wage increase for all drivers over the life of the contract.
The 155 bus drivers, mechanics, and utility workers were able to secure a strong Teamsters agreement after an overwhelming strike vote was taken just two weeks ago.
