UNITED AIRLINES TEAMSTERS RETURN TO CHICAGO FOR SEVENTH ROUND OF BARGAINING
United Airlines Teamsters are back at the negotiating table this week, ready to move forward on securing an industry-leading contract for over 10,000 technicians.
During yesterday’s negotiations, the national negotiating committee worked to make improvements to the current grievance procedures for Teamsters at United. The Teamsters are fighting to ensure that member rights in the grievance process are protected by expanding the documentation the carrier must provide to the union.
“For too long, the grievance process at United has unnecessarily hurt Teamsters. It’s unfair, and it's time for that to change,” said Clacy Griswold, Chairman of the United Airlines Teamsters National Negotiating Committee. “Despite United’s attempts to undermine the contract, we will not rest until this process is fixed.”
Negotiations will continue in Chicago this week until November 7. It’s time for United to step up to the plate and protect Teamsters’ rights!
