Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman met with members of Teamsters Local 104 in Phoenix on Saturday during the local's annual Teamsters Appreciation Picnic.
The day-long event was attended by thousands of Local 104 members and union representatives, including Principal Officer Karla Schumann, as well as local, state, and federal elected officials and candidates showing their support for the Teamsters and organized labor.
"Whether it's at UPS, Amazon, DHL, or any other Teamsters employer, the Teamsters today are winning for the American worker and bringing new energy to the labor movement. Unions like Local 104 and our affiliates across the country have strength because workers have power. Together, we are flexing our muscles to protect American families, and we're just getting started," O'Brien said.
