267 warehouse workers at UNFI in Sarasota, Fla., have officially demanded union recognition with the Teamsters! They are organizing with Teamsters Local 79 to secure better wages, improved benefits, and fairer conditions on the job. Workers in Sarasota join thousands of UNFI workers nationwide who are fighting back and becoming Teamsters.
“We’re fed up with empty promises and being silenced by management,” said Spencer Crocket, a worker at UNFI in Sarasota. “For too long, we’ve been overlooked and undervalued. We’re forming our union to fight for the compensation and benefits we rightfully deserve. It’s time to take control of our future.”
