Workers at the “Happiest Place on Earth” Deserve Fair Wages and Good Working Conditions!
Disney cast members, represented by Teamsters Local 495 and coalition union allies, rallied at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, ahead of a strike authorization vote on Friday. Over 13,000 cast members, including 6,000 Teamsters, are fighting for fair wages and an end to Disney’s unfair labor practices.
Workers were joined by Teamsters Joint Council 42 President and International Vice President At-Large Chris Griswold, and Tommy Blitsch, Director of the Teamsters Casino, Convention, and Trade Show Division. The message to Disney was clear: a company valued at $89 billion with a market cap of $179 billion can afford to pay its workers fairly!
