General President Sean M. O'Brien kicked off a full day of Connecticut site visits this morning by meeting with Teamsters Local 443 members at Brescome Barton in North Haven.
Brescome Barton is the largest distributor of spirits, wine, and beer in Connecticut. Local 443 members work as drivers and warehouse workers, delivering to suppliers and customers throughout the state.
O’Brien spoke with Brescome Barton Teamsters about the need to keep active in the union and hold management accountable.
“We have to have each other’s backs, no matter what. By standing together, Teamsters keep the employer in check and go into negotiations from a position of strength,” O’Brien said. “We're all in this together, with one mission, one voice. So let's have each other's backs, always."
O’Brien was joined by Local 443 Secretary-Treasurer Sal Abate. They will be meeting with Connecticut Teamsters at a variety of different work sites throughout the day.
