UPS TEAMSTERS MOVING MASSACHUSETTS
Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman started Wednesday early on the pre-load with dedicated part- and full-time Teamsters at the UPS Sagamore facility in southern Massachusetts.
Rank-and-file Teamsters nationwide and union leadership are executing an intense UPS contract enforcement campaign to educate and equip members with all the resources at their disposal to ensure UPS abides by the record contract negotiated and ratified last year.
In-person and digital training workshops, toolkits, UPS Teamsters app updates, site visits, and parking lot meetings are coordinated and shared each week at UPS facilities around the country to help protect and improve the workplace for members. A rolling committee of rank-and-file UPSers and International representatives is meeting regularly to call out contract violations by UPS and develop national strategies to enforce every article of the five-year agreement.
“A union contract isn’t worth the paper it’s written on if we don’t work together to make sure every Teamsters employer lives up to it. Contract enforcement lives and dies on the shop floor,” O’Brien said. “UPS Teamsters move every state in this country, and they must be protected and respected at all costs.”
