Teamster pilots and flight attendant gathered in Indianapolis this week for a Professional Standards Conference hosted by Teamsters Local 135 and the Teamsters Airline Division. The two-day event provided members with training on how to become leaders in maintaining a safe and professional workplace.
Aviation Teamsters were equipped with the skills necessary to de-escalate potential situations among crewmembers, thereby reducing or even eliminating the need for management involvement.
“Professional standards are foundational to empowering rank-and-file Teamsters in the airline industry, and we are committed to giving our members skills to succeed on the job through trainings such as these,” said Greg Unterseher, Airline Division Pilots Representative.
