Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman spoke in Lake George, N.Y., today with union leaders and rank-and-file members of the New York Conference of Teamsters.



O’Brien and Zuckerman highlighted recent victories in the Empire State, including contracts at the Long Island Rail Road and Southern Glazer’s. They also outlined future priorities to organize faster and pass pro-worker bills like the Delivery Protection Act and the Faster Labor Contract Act.



“It’s a good time to be a Teamster. Thanks to all of you, our union is finally firing on all cylinders,” O’Brien said. “We’ve got big fights ahead. Many of them will be decided right here in New York. Like organizing Amazon and advancing an agenda to stop subcontracting scams and harmful automaton. And with your help, we’re going to make it happen by organizing faster, bargaining harder, and putting it all on the line.”
