This morning, Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien hit the ground running early in Massachusetts, meeting with rank-and-file members at their worksites. Joined by Tom Mari, President of Teamsters Local 25, O’Brien stopped in Revere, Mass., to speak with dozens of Capitol Waste sanitation Teamsters. These Teamsters proudly service Boston and half a dozen other cities in the metropolitan area.



“Our union is setting the standard for the solid waste industry. Not just in Boston. Not just in New England. But for all of North America,” O’Brien said. “During last year’s strike at Republic, Local 25 proved just how much power rank-and-file Teamsters hold in their hands. Waste companies are finally learning that you can’t fuck with the Teamsters and get away with it. And through member engagement and vigilance, we will continue to ensure the best possible treatment from Capitol Waste.”
