The group of train and engine service employees unionized so they can bargain together for a strong contract with fair wages, benefits, and work conditions. AWRR is a subsidiary of the logistics company Watco, and its workers operate over 180 miles of track between Llano, Texas, and Giddings, Texas.

“Nonunion railroaders across the country are seeing the gains they can secure by unionizing as BLET Teamsters, and we’re proud to give them the tools they need to get the respect they deserve,” said James Logan, National Vice President of the BLET. “All of us here at the BLET are eager to help them bargain a fair agreement that improves their quality of life through higher pay and stronger work rules.”
