    Teamsters are joining Missouri State Senator Stephen Webber in demanding answers from Waymo following the revelation that the company might have lied to lawmakers during a hearing on robotaxi legislation. At the Missouri state capitol in Jefferson City, Waymo representatives testified that the company's driverless cars have never struck a child, when in fact that's exactly what one did only four days prior.



    "When a corporate representative provides inaccurate assurances — particularly on matters involving children — it undermines confidence not only in the witnesses, but in the policy being advanced," Webber said. "Your testimony to the Missouri Senate understated known risks, omitted material facts, and left this committee with a demonstrably inaccurate understanding of Waymo's safety record with respect to children.”
