More than 1,000 Teamsters at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago have overwhelmingly ratified a new union contract. The Teamsters at Rush University Medical Center secured wage increases, higher 403(b) matches, improved shift differentials, and retroactive pay to July 1, 2025, as well as expanded leave policies.



“After numerous sessions of difficult negotiations, we are so happy to have ratified a strong new Teamsters contract,” said Barbara Foster, a Rush University Teamster. “This outcome reflects the persistence, commitment, and collective efforts by many involved to address several key issues at the bargaining table. Our success would not have been possible without the leadership of President Debra Simmons, and the joint efforts of our bargaining committee.”
