Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman met with more than 375 workers at the Anheuser-Busch Baldwinsville brewery on Friday. Joined by Joseph Farrance, Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 1149, O’Brien spoke about the gains achieved in the most recent national agreement at Anheuser-Busch and the need for strong, aggressive contract enforcement to protect those wins.



Teamsters in Baldwinsville brew some of Anheuser-Busch’s most popular brands — including Budweiser, Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, and Cutwater. Under the new agreement, workers secured an $8/hour raise, eliminated two-tier health care, ensuring equal access to high-quality Teamsters health care for all members, and achieved significant increases to pension contributions.



“Teamsters at Anheuser-Busch showed this multibillion-dollar corporation they were prepared to strike if the company failed to deliver a fair contract,” O’Brien said. “The strength and solidarity of this membership delivered the most lucrative contract we have ever negotiated at this company.”
