More than 1,700 nurses at UnityPoint Health cast their vote in an election to determine whether Teamsters Local 90 would be their exclusive bargaining representative. Due to challenged ballots, full election results may not be known for up to 14 business days.



The majority of votes counted on Wednesday were in favor of Teamsters representation. In the coming days, a hearing will be scheduled with the Iowa State labor board to determine the eligibility of voters on the challenged ballots. Updates on election results will be reported after the hearing.
